When shy and awkward Jasmine is told by her psychic sister that her One True Love is Josh Toby, she assumes there must be a mistake. Josh Toby--the Josh Toby--is People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive and the hottest guy in Hollywood. Considering Jasmine's extreme social anxiety makes it hard for her to talk to any man for any reason, it seems unlikely that the prediction is correct. But when Jasmine goes to a job interview and finds herself sitting across the table from the star himself, her nerves get the best of her, sending her puking into a planter and stroming out of the restaurant.

Josh is desparate to prove himself as more than just a handsome face. His dream is to perform on Shakesphere on stage. Unfortunately, his extreme stage fright and his Hollywood image makes that dream difficult attain. He decides to disguise himself so that even his castmates in the small off-Broadway production of Romeo & Juliet won't know it is him. This is why he needs Jasmine, a costume designer of considerable talent. Only she knows his true identity. As a result, their friendship blossoms out of necessity--for her because she badly needs the work and for him because she is the only person he can be himself with.

Obviously, this book is all about the fantasy, so readers should not be expecting it to be totally plausible. That said, this is a fun read and the characters had nice chemistry. I didn't care for the way the sisters psychic powers were so specific, but I get why the author used this as a plot device. And while this is another example of a virginal heroine with a sexually experienced man, at least the author made an attempt to explain Jasmine's lack of experience by her social anxiety.

Folks, this is a bad story. I am not sure what book some of the other reviewers were reading, but there is absolutely nothing believable about this story, it gets old and tiresome real fast to listen to the heroine fret about everything (due to crippling social anxiety), the chemistry between the hero and heroine seems forced and there is no sexual tension, the hero is a total enigma and his choices make little sense, the pacing is weird, and some of the descriptions actually made me feel claustrophobic. The times I've given one star usually have to do with poor editing or an extremely offensive storyline. This may be the first time I've given one because it is such a stupid, unbelievable, and lame storyline with such poorly planned out characters and a huge lack of cohesion. (It feels like great chunks of this story are missing.) And did I mention that the plot is ridiculously, stupidly unbelievable?

Read the first in this series - it was very good. Skip this one - you are missing nothing but some needless aggravation. And there are lots of good contemporary romances about movie stars or very famous people (thinking specifically about stories by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Lisa Kleypas, Victoria Dahl, Rachel Gibson and Carly Phillips, to name a few) --- no need to waste time on this one.
This was a really boring and foolish book. I threw it away half way through.
Loved this book. Funny and easy reading. Nice romance.
I wondered how Diana holquist would follow up the delightful Make Me A Match and she doesn't disappoint in Sexiest Man Alive.

The characters and the storyline are quite engaging and I spent a lazy sick-day afternoon lost in Jasmine's world. Oh! What a world! Sort of Notting Hill-esque.

I cannot wait to read what she puts out next!
